Recently, NVIDIA introduced NeMo Guardrails, an open-source toolkit aimed at promoting accuracy, appropriateness, and security in LLM-based applications. In an ironic turn of events, Sam Altman, alongside esteemed AI scientists such as Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, recently endorsed a statement emphasizing the imperative of safeguarding against the existential risk posed by AI, likening it to the magnitude of a nuclear war. This collective acknowledgment raises an important question: to what extent is OpenAI willing to push the boundaries in advancing models to achieve AGI?

The recent statement issued by Altman and others follows a prior open letter that garnered over 31,000 signatures, including notable figures such as Elon Musk, Gary Marcus, and various tech experts.
